FWCC Recruiting
Know a talented young singer? FWCC will be holding auditions in May. Contact the office for more information, 260.481.0481.

The Spring Concert was absolutely wonderful. From the combined choirs opening with the National Anthem to their closing number, Why We Sing, the audience was treated to the talent of all of the FWCC choirs.

The Lyric and Whitley Regional choirs performed the 2012 Fort Wayne Children's Choir commissioned piece by composer Malcolm Dalglish entitled Soaring Across Breath. It was accompanied by Becky Walter on the hammered dulcimer.

Young People's Concert
Wow! The Young People's concert was impressive! The FWCC singers were awesome and the 400 students and adult guests were a wonderful audience. The audience was fully engaged in the activities. Some of the comments from teachers follow:
* I really appreciated how you interacted with the students with the kids was awesome!
* Keep up the GREAT WORK!! You represent Fort Wayne very well!
* I appreciated the opportunity for our kids to hear some good singing and the interactive activities were engaging.

And from a music education student: "This was awesome! I had no idea that the Fort Wayne Children's Choir sounded like this! I am so glad I came!"

NEW Artistic Director - from Denice Beights
I am proud to announce we have hired a new Artistic Director - Jonathan Busarow. Mr. Busarow comes to the FWCC family after finishing a year teaching in the choral program at Valparaiso University. Prior to his time at Valparaiso, he completed is Master's Degree in Choral Conducting from The Ohio State University, as well as his Kodaly Certification from Capital University. Mr. Busarow has high energy, strong passion for artistic excellence, and a clear vision for leading the artistic efforts of our
organization. We are so pleased he's joining our team.

Mr. Busarow will start on July 2, and will be full-time in the office working with the staff and preparing our upcoming 40th concert season. You're welcome to call or come by to meet him. We will have some official meet and greet times as we approach Choralfest - so stay tuned for dates and times.

Mr. Busarow, and his wife Nicole, are excited to be relocating in Fort Wayne and are looking to plant roots here in our community. I know you will enjoy working with him.
