The Parent
Organization was formed to support the
social activities of the choir and help
provide fund raising opportunities to
defray tuition costs and tour expenses
for the singer and the organization.
The goal of this organization is to
involve all parents.
In the
past, the Parent Organization has
arranged activities such as hay rides,
swimming parties, roller skating,
retreats, sled riding parties, holiday
parties, Choralfest pizza day, logo
items sales, recognition events, parent
meetings and much more.
The success
of the Parent Organization depends on
volunteers. We are currently looking for
both officers and members. Please email
Katey Wilks or call 260-481-0481 for
more information.
Parent
Organization volunteers are needed in
the following areas; social committee,
fund raising committee, tour fund
raising committee, committee chair or
choir representative.
One area of
fund raising available with the FWCC is
through the Parent Organization. These
fund raisers are optional and give
singers an opportunity to raise funds to
defray costs of tuition and/or tour
expenses. Each singer will have profits
raised set aside in their personal
account. If a singer does not use money
in the current year, the profits will
remain in the singer's account for the
next season. Any unused profits are not
refundable.
Several
choirs may be touring during the
2007-2008 season. Certain fund raisers
may be geared toward choirs needing to
raise larger amounts of money. Singers
will receive information at rehearsals
when these fund raisers occur.
